Engineer missing in Gurgaon

The Gurgaon police have registered a case of abduction against unknown criminals after a 27-year old engineer went missing and his father ‘received a ransom call’ of Rs 5 lakh for his release.

The Gurgaon police have registered a case of abduction against unknown criminals after a 27-year old engineer went missing and his father ‘received a ransom call’ of Rs 5 lakh for his release.

Amit Garg had gone missing after office on February 26. His father, who lives in Jind received a ransom call on March 1.

The police said Garg was not the only one missing since February 26 as one of his office colleagues, Pardip Kumar, is too reported absent from the same office in DLF City.

JCP Alok Mittal said preliminary investigations suggested Garg himself or his friends could have staged the abduction to extract money.
