Senior Delhi government officials said the union home ministry has sought more clarifications on how the three municipal bodies would be run.

The Delhi government is likely to send its reply soon.

While the proposal sent to the central government earlier this year laid out how the state government plans to divide the world’s second largest corporation, officials said the home ministry wants specific details on how the corporation’s workforce would be divided between the three smaller corporations and how the revenue collected and the central government funds would be divided to ensure smooth functioning.

Meanwhile, chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday formed a three-member group of ministers that will suggest development works required in the various areas neglected during the Commonwealth Games. The committee will submit its report in a month’s time.

Headed by Delhi urban development minister Rajkumar Chauhan, the committee will look into various civic problems such as sewerage, drinking water and roads in unauthorised colonies, slums including katras, resettlement colonies, urbanised villages and rural villages in the capital city. Delhi transport minister Arvinder

Singh Lovely and industry minister Ramakant Goswami are two other members of the committee.
