The plant has rotogravure technology that allows high quality printing in large quantities.
This is the largest commercial printing set up in India and the only publication gravure unit. Hubert Burda, CEO of Burda Media Ltd was present at the inauguration as well. Burda Media is a Germany-based printing and media company which publishes high quality magazines. It has in its stable 268 magazines worldwide, 77 in Germany and 191 abroad.
At the inauguration, the I&B minister said that with the growing population in the country and rising literacy, prospects publishing have also become virtually limitless.
Burda said he had visited India after eight years and that he has seen a lot of change and progress in the country in that time. Germany’s ambassador to India Thomas Matussek was also present at the occasion.
