The police will take the victim’s help to identify the five who allegedly raped her.

The woman alleged the policemen took her to Inderpuri police station around 11 am on Monday where she was allegedly gangraped by the SHO and four others. In her complaint, she alleged that she was confined till 5.45 pm at the police station.

On Wednesday, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police accessed records of the police control room (PCR) that reportedly say the SHO had gone to attend a robbery call around 10.15 am on Monday. “The records show he left to attend a call near Pusa Institute where a man had alleged he was robbed in a Blueline bus on route 721. Two other SHOs from adjoining police stations were present. The call turned out to be of a scuffle between two persons,” said a senior police officer on condition of anonymity.

The records show the SHO went to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RML) for the medical examination of the two men. No case was registered.

Police said they have seized all records. “The woman has not been able to name anyone. We would take her assistance to help her identify the policemen involved in the crime,” said Amulya Patnaik, joint commissioner of police (crime).

A case of gangrape was registered against the SHO and four other unidentified policemen late on Tuesday night after the woman recorded her statement with the Crime Branch in front of NGO representatives and women commission members.
