India, Nepal sign agreement on sharing of zoo animal specimens
India and Nepal will now be able to exchange zoo animal specimens to improve genetic diversity.

India and Nepal will now be able to exchange zoo animal specimens to improve genetic diversity.
The two neighbours will also be able to ensure better captive breeding for enhancing quality of species. All this and much more will be possible because of a memorandum of understanding signed between the Central Zoo Authority (CZA), regulator of all zoos across India, and the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC), Nepal.
BS Bonal, CZA member secretary and Brij Kishore Gupta, CZA's evaluation and monitoring officer, were present at the signing of the MoU on Monday.
