Balachandran's body is shown stripped to the waist with five bullet wounds to the chest, according to sources. Next to him are the bodies of five 'bodyguards'. Strips of cloth on the ground indicate they were tied and blindfolded.

The footage - believed to be a 'trophy video' shot by Lankan troops - was screened Sunday at a film festival in Geneva, ahead of a vote on a UN resolution for an inquiry into human rights violations during the bloody war.
