During past five days, even PM Manmohan Singh could not talk to her. Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee too, failed to communicate with her. Railway minister and Trinamool MP Dinesh Trivedi deliberately skipped Thursday's cabinet meeting to protest over FDI. Last Monday, the PM told Trinamool Congress parliamentary party leader Sudip Bandopadhayay that he is unable to talk to Banerjee adding that he is available till 11pm if Banerjee wants to call him back.

The government's strategy to tackle the Opposition depends on Banerjee's stand but she has preferred to remain out of reach.

The Congress is now communicating with Banerjee through her lieutenants like Bandopadhyay and Mukul Roy.
