The Delhi Police have arrested a man who hired goons to attack him so that he could implicate his wife and get rid of her. The incident took place in Hazrat Nizamuddin on Sunday. The police have arrested three people in the case

“On Sunday, Rashid Qureshi was admitted to the AIIMS trauma centre with a gun-shot injury. He claimed he was attacked by two men when he was out on a walk and suspected his in-laws’ role,” said a senior Delhi Police official.

But police found contradictions in his statement as he had eloped with another woman after marriage.
His in-laws had then threatened him with legal action and he wanted to get rid of them.
