"Though a period of nearly six months has been assigned for the preparation of the report, it may take the DMRC nearly four months to complete the work," a senior government official said.

Officials said that the Nagpur Metro will have two lines with a length of nearly 37km. "We are looking at a Metro project with two lines with a total length of about 37 km," a senior official said.

The cost of the project is estimated to be over Rs 8,000 crore, they said.
