"There is no need for it. The government has lost people's trust. It will fall on its own," BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters.

He said the Congress-led UPA government was surviving on borrowed support and its continuation was not in the interest of the nation.

"Continuation of this government is not in the interest of the nation. This government, which is trying to survive on borrowed support from here and there, is definitely not in the interest of the country," Naqvi said.

DMK had on Tuesday withdrawn support to the UPA government over the Sri Lankan Tamils issue.
