Parliament on Monday paid tributes to victims of Mumbai terror attack on this day four years ago with members in both Houses observing silence as a mark of respect to those killed.

Parliament on Monday paid tributes to victims of Mumbai terror attack on this day four years ago with members in both Houses observing silence as a mark of respect to those killed.

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari read out the message in the respective Houses.

Kumar said, "The horrific memories of the tragic attack are still etched in our minds and as a tribute to the valiant security personnel who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation, let us pledge that we will unitedly fight to thwart the forces of terrorism."

Ansari said the indomitable spirit of humankind cannot be subdued by such acts of violence.

"I am sure the whole House will join me in reiterating our firm resolve to fight terrorism with determination and re-dedicate ourselves to protect the sovereignty and integrity of our nation," he said.
