Vinay Jindal, a BBA student, would have been alive today had someone bothered to stop and help him after a speeding car rammed his scooty near a traffic signal in Delhi, sending him flying off the vehicle and onto the road.

He lay there bleeding, and writhing in pain. Several cars and motorbikes passed by but no one bothered to help. Vinay died of excessive bleeding, two days before his sister’s wedding.

The occurred on Monday night at the Kasturba Nagar traffic signal in east Delhi’s Vivek Vihar when the youth — a resident of the nearby Jhilmil Colony — was on his way to buy medicines for his widowed mother.
