Raghu Menon assumes office as Secy in I&B Ministry

Raghu Menon, a 1974 batch IAS officer of Nagaland cadre, on Monday assumed office as Secretary in the Ministry for Information and Broadcasting.

Raghu Menon, a 1974 batch IAS officer of Nagaland cadre, on Monday assumed office as Secretary in the Ministry for Information and Broadcasting.

He was in the Civil Aviation ministry and Air India in his last assignment. Menon had been in the Information and Broadcasting ministry as Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary during his earlier stints.

Menon took over from Jawahar Sircar, the Culture Secretary, who had been holding additional charge of the Information and Broadcasting ministry.
