Rahul attends his first Congress core group meeting
In an indication of the growing clout of Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, he attended a meeting of the Congress core group in New Delhi today.

In an indication of the growing clout of Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, he attended a meeting of the Congress core group in New Delhi on Friday.
However, party president Sonia Gandhi, who had chaired a party meeting on Thursday for the first time after she underwent a surgery abroad on August 4, did not attend the meeting.
The core group meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at his 7 Race Course Road official residence, was attended by other top leaders including finance minister Pranab Mukherjee, defence minister AK Antony and Sonia Gandhi's political secretary Ahmed Patel.
