Rahul Gandhi to start poll campaign in WB on April 14

West Bengal Youth Congress president Mausam Noor on Thursday announced that Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi would start his campaigning for the West Bengal Assembly elections on April 14.

West Bengal Youth Congress president Mausam Noor on Thursday announced that Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi would start his campaigning for the West Bengal Assembly elections on April 14.

As the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly polls would be held on April 18, Rahul Gandhi would start his election campaign on April 14, Noor, also the Congress MP from Malda (Uttar), said here.

Most probably Rahul Gandhi would start his campaign from Malda district, she said.

"We had received a large number of requests from our party candidates for Rahul ji's campaign in their area. We have forwarded the requests to the party high command which will chalk out the final campaign schedule of Rahul ji," Noor added.

In the first phase elections would be held for the six-districts of North Bengal - Malda, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, North Dinajpur, South Dinajpur and Cooch Behar - which will be held on April 18.
