Three people were killed in three separate road accidents involving trucks in the past 24 hours in the Capital.

Three people were killed in three separate road accidents involving trucks in the past 24 hours in the Capital.

In the first accident, that occurred around 1.30am in north Delhi, a 30-year-old BPO employee lost his life after a speeding dumper hit his motorcycle and dragged him for almost 100metres.

The victim, Ankit Kapoor from Rajasthan, was returning to his rented accommodation in Gurgaon after meeting a friend at ISBT Kashmere Gate.

The second accident took place in east Delhi’s Geeta Colony area where a 50-year-old woman rag-picker was crushed by a speeding mini-truck in the early hours of Sunday.

In the third accident, a 44-year-old autorickshaw driver was killed after his three-wheeler was hit by a speeding truck in northeast Delhi’s New Usmanpur area around midnight.
