Two arrested for drug peddling

Delhi Police have arrested two foreigners including a girl from South Africa who used to supply cocaine for parties. The arrested have been identified as Cedrick Kanyeba (26), a resident of Nigeria and Cherry Samson (20), a resident of South Africa.

“We have recovered 14 gm of fine quality cocaine from Kenyeba and one gm cocaine was recovered from Samson. A case under the appropriate sections of the NDPS Act was registered,” Ashok Chand, DCP (crime) said. Samson was living at Sarvodaya Enclave while Kenyeba was living at Safdarjung Enclave.

“During interrogation Samson revealed that she is from Johannesburg and had done a degree course in Somatology from Hydro International College there. After her studies she came to India about six months back,” Chand added. Initially she worked as a hostess in a famous night club of a five star hotel in Delhi and was dealing with high profile clients at the VIP lounge of the night club.

“About two months back she left her job and at present was attending high-end social parties. She herself used cocaine and then came in contact with high profile people whom she started supplying the drug,” Chand further added.

Samson also claimed that she has featured in an F-1 ad shoot recently, held in Hissar, Haryana.

The duo was arrested from Aurobindo Marg after a trap was laid. Kenyeba in his interrogation said that he came to Delhi around two years back. “He started export of readymade garments to Lagos, Nigeria. After incurring huge loss , he came in contact with a Nigerian drug trafficker and then started supplying cocaine,” Chand said.
