Two alleged drug peddlers were arrested in the national capital with 22 kg hashish, police said today.

Ajay Kumar (20) and Suresh Prasad (22), both hailing from Betia in Bihar, were apprehended near Shastri Park Metro Station on a tip off. Twenty-two kg of hashish were recovered from them.

During interrogation, police claimed, one Santosh Kumar based near the Bihar-Nepal border sends people (carriers) by train along with the contraband.

"He informs the concerned peddler in Delhi and NCR in advance and the carrier delivers the contraband to them. Both the arrested persons have supplied drugs in Delhi and NCR on previous occasions too," a senior police official said.
