Besides the Corewip directors, Abhishek Verma’s estranged attorney C Edmond Allen has also been issued defamation notice by Siddharth. Allen is based in New York and has been sending many documents to investigating agencies here, which hint at Abhishek Verma’s involvement in many corrupt practices.
Corewip had floated a joint venture with Ganton India — a front company of Abhishek Verma of which Allen is also a director — called GT Telecom. According to Siddharth, he was just a shareholder in GT Telecom. He neither received any money from Corewip nor had any involvement with the alleged $1.1 million transaction.
Siddharth has sought a public apology from Corewip directors and C Edmond Allen and has demanded a payment of $1,00,000 for defaming him.
