It has promoted Roshini Bakshi as Vice-President of its Consumer Products, Publishing and Retail Division, while Vijay Subramaniam and Swati Shetty have been promoted as executive directors of the Disney India Media Solutions and Alliances (DIMSA) and Theatrical Productions and Acquisitions segments respectively.

"In our continued efforts to deliver an unparalleled family-focused Disney entertainment experience to Indian consumers, we believe that investing in our people is paramount," Mahesh Samat, Managing Director, The Walt Disney Company, India, said in a statement.

"With the expanded responsibilities of key functions, I'm confident that together our teams will continue to bring the Disney magic to many more Indian kids and families," he added.

Bakshi will oversee Disney's retail interests and continue to be responsible for creating and executing strategies for both its consumer products and publishing businesses, in addition to retail.

As Disney's Studios is one of the key growth drivers for the brand, Swati Shetty has been promoted to the post of Executive Director (Theatrical Productions and Acquisitions).

She would be responsible for undertaking creative and production efforts, besides managing talent relationships for local projects.

Subramaniam has been promoted as the Executive Director (Disney India Media Solutions and Alliances - DIMSA).

Subramaniam, in his new role, would be responsible for identifying commercial opportunities across all Disney businesses (including TV, studios, merchandising, publishing, mobile, Internet and live events) in India to align in a better fashion with advertisers and brand partners.
