Woman falls off flyover in east delhi

In yet another case of robbery, a woman fell off a flyover when two men snatched her bag after assaulting her. HT reports.

In yet another case of robbery, a woman fell off a flyover when two men snatched her bag after assaulting her. The incident happened in East Delhi. Madhumita (27) is a call center employee in Laxmi Nagar and had just started climbing the flyover when she was attacked.

She fell from a height of 8 feet but her condition is said to be stable.

Police said the incident happened on Karkari More flyover around 9:30pm on Saturday. The woman was going home when two men on a motorcycle approached her.

"They tried to snatch her bag and when she resisted, they tugged really hard on the bag and the handles of the bag were torn. She then fell from the flyover. She was rushed to the nearby hospital.

She is in a state of shock but is all right," said IB Rani, DCP (East). The police said they have put in barricades in the area and are checking all the motorcycles. A case has been registered.
