Zoo shut due to waterlogging

Though most areas of the city were free of waterlogging on Saturday, large portions of the Delhi zoo remained inundated, prompting the authorities to close it for visitors for indefinite period.

Zoo administration held a meeting with officials from all agencies to discuss ways to find a solution.

Zoo director AK Agnihotri said, "Visitor safety is of prime importance for us. We will keep the zoo closed till the water is drained out completely."
