Mahak Arora from Haryana’s Panchkula on Monday grabbed the third position in AIIMS MBBS entrance examination 2018, which is held for admission to institutes in nine cities, including New Delhi, across the country.

“Focus on NCERT syllabus, classroom lectures, preparation of notes and revision of course were my success mantra for cracking AIIMS,” the 17-year-old, who got the all-India rank 31 in NEET 2018, said.
Mahak, who scored 92.6% marks in Class 12 board exams held by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) this year, said she used to study for around six-to-seven hours every day apart from her school and coaching classes.
She said she has not made up her mind yet but she might study neurology when asked about her priority branch.
Mahak said she loves to read novels and books and paint in free time.
The student of Allen Career Institute’s Chandigarh branch is the daughter of chartered accountant Renu Arora. Her father died a few years ago and she has a younger brother.
