For IIT aspirants, the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced is the most important turning point of life. Cracking it allows them entry to the elite IITs of the country and assures enviable career path. But acing JEE Advanced is an uphill task to say the least. In order to be eligible for this exam, you have to first crack the JEE Main and feature among the top 2,50,000 students.

This year, JEE Advanced will take place on 3rd July. Unfortunately, there is no magic formula for success in this exam. But strategic preparation along with hard work can be your path to success. As you gear up for the most vital exam of your life, here are your go-to tips. They will guide you in the right direction.
Physics
The rule of thumb is to get your basics right. For a thorough understanding of the concepts of physics, you need to exercise your logical thinking capacity. NCERT physics books alongside others authored by HC Verma and DC Pandey will be your best buddies for a strong grip on the fundamentals. After you are through with one particular topic, attempt to solve its problems on the very same day. Refer to more than one book to solve a wide ranging of variety of problems related to the same topic. Mechanics and Electromagnetism are the most crucial topics of physics. Pay special attention to them.
Chemistry
Chemistry is a combination of theory, equations and reactions. For this subject, it is important to make notes. Jot down the equations and reactions in a notebook and keep referring to it for a quick revision. While Physical Chemistry is the easiest of all the other segments of this subject, Inorganic Chemistry may take a toll on your memory. Practise this section time and again to ensure that you don’t forget anything. NCERT books are good companions for your chemistry lessons.
Mathematics
Practise, practise, practise. That’s the golden rule for cracking any mathematics exam, including JEE Advanced. Discuss with your teacher for shortcut methods to remember formulae. Make sure that your algebra and calculus concepts are absolutely clear. Coordinate geometry, Vectors and 3D, definite integration and matrices & determinants are other topics that need special attention. Vector and 3D questions can be a little lengthy. Speed up when you attempt them.
