Dread going to school?
Beat the fear of school because education is very important
Do you dread the thought of setting foot in school? Is going to school a pain for you? For a lot of students, it is. This can be a big problem as education is what makes a man. You need to figure out how to engage yourself at school. Here’s some advice:
1 Know what you like about school: There may be some things that you like about it, for instance, your peers. Make a list of such aspects of school life and reflect on it. School can have some good things to offer as well.
2 Maintain a good group of friends: Friends make school fun. Engage with your peers, juniors and seniors. The more you interact, the more enjoyable activities get to be.
3 Do not miss out on regular work: Being regular at school helps you stay up to date with what needs to be done. Studying daily will ensure that no pressure builds up on you.
4 Do not avoid tests: Tests can be a significant trigger for avoiding school but the more you run away from them, the more you get into downward spiral. So, face your fear
5 Take part in activities: Engage in extra-curricular activities, which add a zing to school life. Try and find what you enjoy.
6 Involve yourself in class: Be engaged with your class and classmates. Be active in class as much as you can be.
7 Develop a rapport with teachers: Comm-unicate with your teachers and take their help and guidance.
8 Talk it out: It is essential to talk to someone, when you have difficulties. Your teachers and school counsellor would be best able to understand your experiences.
