IIM Kozhikode to create CK Prahalad Endowment Fund

To honour the noted management guru CK Prahalad, IIM Kozhikode announces the creation of CK Prahalad endowment fund which will generate Rs one crore. Prof Debashis Chatterjee, director, IIM said: “IIM Kozhikode is expected to generate Rs one crore through the endowment fund this year to promote the values, late Prof C.K. Prahalad stood for.” Prahalad was the chief guest at the convocation function in 2008 at the B-school.



Chatterjee further adds: “In honour of Prof CK Prahalad, we will conduct an annual lecture titled ‘CK Prahalad Memorial Annual Lecture — the rise of India from the bottom to the top of the pyramid’. This lecture will be delivered each year by an eminent management thinker and practitioner from around the world


Short term courses to learn stock market trading



International Institute of Financial Markets (IIFM) is set to launch 41 short term courses for students and young professionals to teach the dynamics of stock exchange trading and selling of financial products.



Time duration of these courses range from two to five days and will be conducted in collaboration with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), following a memorandum of understanding signed between IIFM and BSE recently.



The courses include Introduction to capital market and derivatives and commodity trading among others. IIFM has four centres in Delhi and a total of 18 across India.
