Research fellowships, new lab at DTU

Research fellowships, new lab at DTU Delhi Technological University (DTU),
formerly Delhi College of Engineering, has introduced 25 teaching-cum-research
fellowships. The TRFs comprise 20 doctoral and five post-doctoral fellowships, approved in the second meeting of its Board of Management.

Each teaching-cum-research fellow will be allowed to enrol for a full-time PhD
programme and will take 10 hours a week of teaching work at the BTech/ MTech level.
The university, it has been decided, would give admission to all undergraduate engineering programmes from next year on the basis of merit/rank in the Central Board of Secondary Education’s All India Engineering Entrance Examination, with at least 60 per cent marks in PCM to be eligible for entry. Also, DTU is partnering with Freescale Semiconductor Pvt Ltd to set up a Freescale Systems Laboratory in the electronics and communication engineering department.
