UGC-NET exam at Jamia
Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, will conduct the UGC-NET examination scheduled to be held on December 27 from 9.30 am. Over 20,000 candidates will appear for the test in 65 subjects.

There are 39 centres for the examination, out of which 24 are outside Jamia.
Details such as a list of registered candidates for the UGC-NET examination, centrewise details of the students, etc. are available on Jamia’s website: http://jmi.nic.in. Candidates who do not receive the admit cards by today (December 23) are required to also visit the website and request a provisional admit card.
Register for BITSAT
It is time to register for BITSAT, the computer-based test that will help you get admission to all the Integrated First Degree programmes of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses, for the academic year 2010-11. Eligibility is 80 per cent overall in PCM, with at least 60 per cent in each subject.
Candidates should apply in the application form available at www.bitsadmission.com.
The printout of the filled form along with the fee of Rs 1,000 (Rs 500 for female candidates) should be sent to the Admission Officer, BITS Pilani, Rajasthan, 333031.
Forms can also be obtained by post till January 21, 2010, by sending a crossed demand draft for Rs 1,100 (Rs 600 for female candidates) to the admission officer. The draft is to be drawn in favour of the ‘Birla Institute of Technology and Science’ and payable at State Bank of India (Pilani), State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (Pilani) or UCO Bank (Pilani) or ICICI Bank (Jhunjhunu). Entries invited for annual fest at IIM Lucknow
B-school students can now show off their leadership skills at the annual international business conclave of IIM Lucknow, by participating in the institute’s flagship contest, ‘The Next CEO’ .

The winner of the contest will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the United States to visit the University of Dayton and participate in a programmme customised to the winner’s academic interests.
