DU’s campus of open learning launches new media courses
Delhi University’s campus of open learning has launched short-term certificate courses in 2D and 3D animation, radio jockeying and TV news reading, theatre and presentation in association with RK Films and Media Academy (RKFMA), a media school based in New Delhi. The course is open to all students pursuing various courses at Delhi University.
The trainers are drawn from the media industry itself. They train the students on practical as well as essential text
knowledge. The students’ placement record of RKFMA has been satisfactory.
The admission forms for the courses may be obtained from the Campus of Open Learning located at C-2, Keshavpuram, Delhi - 110035. The new batches will tentatively start from June 2011. The application forms may be downloaded from col.du.ac.in.

MA programmes in fashion
Pearl Academy of Fashion, has announced the admissions to their MA design programme in fashion and textile and fashion marketing for the academic year 2011- 2013. These courses are validated by Nottingham Trent University, UK.
Applicant should hold a graduate diploma degree from Pearl NIFT NID or BSc (textiles and clothing) or any graduation degree with sufficient experience in fashion business functions. Candidates with non-fashion background can also apply for MA Fashion marketing.
For MA designprogramme in fashion and textile one will have to go through a statement of purpose, portfolio evaluation followed by interview. For MA fashion marketing there will be statement of purpose, general
proficiency test (GPT) followed by an interview.
The duration of the programme is three semesters of six months each. For candidates without fashion background, MA fashion marketing is of four semesters.
Application forms can be obtained from the admission office of Pearl Academy of Fashion located at Naraina Industrial Area, Phase II, New Delhi, 110028 against an application fee of R1150.
Last date for of application form is May 14, 2011.
The entrance test will be held on May 22, 2011
