RRB Recruitment 2018: Group C exams from August 9

The Railway Recruitment Board has said the first stage or CBT of candidates who applied for the posts of assistant loco pilot (ALP) and technicians (Group C) under CEN 01/2018 will begin on Aug 9.

The Railway Recruitment Board has said the first stage or computer-based test of candidates who applied for the posts of assistant loco pilot (ALP) and technicians (Group C) under CEN 01/2018 will begin on August 9, 2018.

The board said in a notification the mock link for the first stage CBT will be activated on July 26. It added that the candidates will be intimated about the city, date and session of their examination on July 26.

Candidates can download their call letter four days before the date of their CBT. They can log in with their credentials on the above-mentioned dates through the link to be provided on the official websites of RRBs for their exam city, date and session and download their ecall letter or admit card.

Candidates will have to answer 75 multiple choice questions within 60 minutes - 80 minutes will be given to eligible persons with disability candidates accompanied with a writer. One-third of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for a wrong answer.

The board recently released the application status of the candidates who applied for Group C and Group D posts under CEN 01/2018 (for assistant loco pilot and technicians) and CEN 02/2018 (for various posts in Level 1 of the 7th CPC).

Around 15 million people have registered for over 89,000 Group C and D jobs advertised by the Indian Railways. Out of this, 26,502 are vacancies for Group C and 62,907 for Group D positions.
