85.1% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Mauvin Heliodoro Godinho grabbed a total of 7,234 votes, while Maharashtrawadi Gomantak's Premanand Nanoskar got 4,740 votes. Indian National Congress's candidate Francisco Jose Nunes bagged 2,752 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 41.8%, 27.4% and 15.9% respectively.
In Goa Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Mauvin Heliodoro Godinho beat Maharashtrawadi Gomantak's Premanand Nanoskar by 944 votes.
