Goa Election: Fatorda Assembly Constituency 2022

Fatorda is one of the 40 Goa Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the South Goa district. Goa Assembly Election 2022 for Fatorda was held on February 14 and the result was declared on March 10.

In the 2017 Goa Legislative Assembly Election, there were 6 candidates in the fray from Fatorda constituency. Fatorda was one of 3 seats won by the Goa Forward Party. Goa Forward Party's Vijai Sardesai won the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Damu G. Naik by a margin of 1,334 votes.

The top two candidates split 86.3% of votes between them. Goa Forward Party's Vijai Sardesai got a total of 10,516 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Damu G. Naik secured 9,182 votes. Aam Aadmi Party's candidate Ranjit Cotta Carvalho secured 1,479 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 46.1%, 40.2% and 6.5% respectively.

In Goa Assembly election 2012, Independent candidate Vijai Sardesai beat Bharatiya Janata Party's Damodar (DAMU) G. NAIK by 1,939 votes.
