Kudligi is one of the 224 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Bellary district. People of Kudligi voted for Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 on May 10 and the result was declared on May 13.
In 2018, the Kudligi assembly seat had 1,94,460 registered voters, 99,023 were male and 95,425 were female voters. 1.1% of voters opted for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In the 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election, there were 9 candidates in the fray from Kudligi constituency. Kudligi was one of 104 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's N.Y. Gopalakrishna won the election upstaging Janata Dal (Secular)'s N.T. Bommanna by a margin of 10,813 votes.
The top three candidates split 79.2% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's N.Y. Gopalakrishna secured a total of 50,085 votes, while Janata Dal (Secular)'s N.T. Bommanna got 39,272 votes. Independent candidate Lokesh. V. Nayaka bagged 29,514 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 33.4%, 26.2% and 19.7% respectively.
In Karnataka Assembly election 2013, Independent candidate B. Nagendra outperformed Indian National Congress's S. Venkatesha by 24,803 votes.
