Pattali Makkal Katchi's candidate Madahaiyan.R.S secured 13,709 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 42.4%, 42.1% and 7.5% respectively.
In Tamil Nadu Assembly election 2011, Dravida Munetra Kazhagam's Chezhiaan.Govi outperformed All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam's Pandiyarajan.T by 394 votes.
