Dariyabad is the assembly constituency which comes under the Barabanki district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Dariyabad will be held on February 27 and the result was declared on March 10.
Dariyabad assembly constituency had 3,87,485 electors in 2017, out of which 2,07,241 were male voters and 1,80,244 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.8% votes.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Dariyabad constituency had 10 candidates for assembly seat contention. Total 312 seats were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Dariyabad was one of them. The election for Dariyabad seat was comfortably won by Bharatiya Janata Party's Satish Chandra Sharma defeating Samajwadi Party's Rajeev Kumar Singh by a huge margin of 50,686 votes.
96.3% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Satish Chandra Sharma grabbed a total of 1,19,173 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Rajeev Kumar Singh got 68,487 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Mohd.Mubassir bagged 54,512 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 47.4%, 27.2% and 21.7% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Rajeev Kumar Singh defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Vivekanand by 19,894 votes.
