Tindwari comes under the Banda district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Tindwari voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.
Tindwari assembly constituency had 3,09,625 electors in 2017, out of which 1,71,593 were male voters and 1,38,032 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.9% votes.
In 2017, 11 candidates were competing for Tindwari assembly constituency seat. Tindwari was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Brajesh Kumar Prajapati comfortably winning the election defeating Bahujan Samaj Party's Jagdish Prasad Prajapati by a huge margin of 37,407 votes.
The top three candidates split 92.9% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Brajesh Kumar Prajapati got a total of 82,197 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Jagdish Prasad Prajapati secured 44,790 votes. Indian National Congress's candidate Daljeet Singh grabbed the third spot with 42,089 votes. The top three parties got 45.2%, 24.6% and 23.1% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Daljeet Singh outperformed Samajwadi Party's Bishambhar Prasad by 15,015 votes.
