Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Prasanta Saha secured 15,275 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 48.2%, 42.8% and 7.2% respectively.
In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, Communist Party Of India (MARXIST)'s Aparna Saha defeated All India Trinamool Congress's Nisith Kumar Malik by 14,233 votes.
