Khejuri is one of the 294 West Bengal Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Purba Medinipur district. West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 for Khejuri was held on March 27 and the result was declared on May 2.
In 2016, the Khejuri assembly seat had 2,12,189 registered voters. Of the, 1,10,532 were male and 1,01,656 were female voters. 1.2% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In 2016, 5 candidates were competing for Khejuri assembly constituency seat. Khejuri was one of 211 seats won by the Independent. It was a one way contest with All India Trinamool Congress's Ranajit Mondal comfortably winning the election defeating independent candidate Asim Kumar Mandal by a huge margin of 42,485 votes.
87.6% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. All India Trinamool Congress's Ranajit Mondal got a total of 1,03,699 votes, while independent candidate Asim Kumar Mandal got 61,214 votes. Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Patra Swadesh Ranjan grabbed 17,064 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 55.1%, 32.5% and 9.1% respectively.
In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, All India Trinamool Congress's Ranajit Mondal beat Samajwadi Party's Asim Kumar Mandal by 16,160 votes.
