The picture was originally shared on Instagram Stories by Kanika Karvinkop, a friend of Anushka. In the picture, which Kanika suggested was taken in Goa in 2004, Anushka was wearing a tank top and denim jeans which featured a stone embellishment in the shape of a flower on its mini pocket. She was carrying a red tote bag with a long strap on her shoulder. Anushka, who would have been 16 at the time, was also sporting long thin eyebrows which were in trend at the time.
Kanika made fun of her and Anushka's eyebrows as she captioned the picture, "Lolll @anushkasharma look what I found. Our eyebrows tho hahaha. Goa, 2004?" Anushka also agreed with her friend's caption about their eyebrows and reposted it on her Instagram Stories with the caption, "Hahaha," adding a tongue sticking out emoji.

In 2007, around three years after the picture was taken, Anushka moved to Mumbai and started her first modelling assignment for the fashion designer Wendell Rodricks. In 2008, she made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The film was a major commercial success, emerging as the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of that year after Ghajini, and earned her Filmfare Award nominations for Best Actress and Best Female Debut.
The actor, who will complete 15 years in the Hindi film industry next year, was last seen in Zero (2018). She will be next seen in Chakda 'Xpress, a biopic on the former captain of the Indian national women’s cricket team, Jhulan Goswami. The Prosit Roy directorial, scheduled for a release on Netflix, will mark Anushka's first film in four years.
