Deepika Padukone is pumped up about 83 and she didn't hide her excitement while watching the trailer being played on Burj Khalifa in Dubai with Ranveer Singh. The actor, who plays the role of Kapil Dev's wife Romi Dev on screen, is a co-producer of the cricket-based film.

Several videos of Ranveer and Deepika joining Kapil Dev, Kabir Khan and others have surfaced online, showing the team watching the trailer play on the world's tallest building. In a video shared by a fan account, Deepika and Ranveer were seen holding on to each other while their eyes were glued to the trailer.

While the group occasionally hooted, they watched the trailer mostly in silence. As the trailer neared its end, the team cheered with Deepika also heard announcing, “Yeah, yeah, we're booking tickets,” and Ranveer adding, “First day first show.”

Deepika and Ranveer, along with director Kabir Khan and former cricketer Kapil Dev, are in the UAE for the promotions of 83. The team was seen at the special screening of the film, which was also the film’s world premiere, at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah.

The couple opted for retro looks – with Ranveer wore a shimmery golden shirt with a pair of mustard coloured pants while Deepika sported a red ensemble. ANI reported that the film received a standing ovation at the screening.

83 revolves around the events that transpired at the 1983 World Cup tournament. India, who were considered as the underdogs of the tournament, went on to win the cup, making history that year.

While Ranveer plays the captain Kapil Dev in the movie, Deepika essays the role of his wife Romi Dev. 83 also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree and Pankaj Tripathi.

Speaking at an event earlier this week, as reported by ANI, Kapil shared his reaction to the trailer. "After watching the trailer I am very emotional, but let's wait for December 24 to see the end product. I can't say anything till it is released."

Speaking about Ranveer, Kapil added, "Ranveer is a great actor. I don't think he needs any inputs or any help. He just spent time with me and rest he is smart enough."
