Actor Vijay Varma on Saturday shared pictures of his latest splurge, a Jeep Compass. Taking to Instagram, he gave fans glimpses of his new car as he posed in front of it as well as took to the steering wheel. He was accompanied by actor Sunny Hinduja.

Sunny wrote, "Congratulations again Last pic is killer." Actor Jaideep Ahlawat said, "Vaaaahhhh Vaaahhhh Bade Babu ... Chalo drive pe (Wow, let's go on a drive)." A fan wrote, "Congratulations @itsvijayvarma you are truly inspiring." Another said, "Congratulations sir you have earned it." A third wrote, "Just the beginning @itsvijayvarma soon you will be having RR too."

The car is a Jeep Compass, priced at over 22 lakh, and is in the Grigio Magnesio Grey colour. It has Uconnect™ with a 25.6 cm (10.1-inch) touchscreen display and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (wireless). It features rain-sensing front wipers, dual-pane panoramic sunroof and a power liftgate, with a dual-tone steel grey and brown interior.

Vijay has been critically acclaimed for his performances in movies and shows such as Pink, Gully Boy, Mirzapur and A Suitable Boy.

Earlier in March, PTI had quoted him saying, "I want to keep putting myself in uncomfortable spots and in pursuit of newer performances. I want to have a long-lasting and impactful presence as an artist on the screen and keep surprising myself. I feel blessed to be finally at a place where I have a choice. But it's not easy because sometimes, when you have two or three decent options, then it gets a little difficult to make the choice. Also, sometimes personal equations come into the picture and people might not like my choices. So it comes with baggage, but I'm happy to carry it as long I get to do the stuff that I want to."
