It is not clear why the 52-year-old model backed out of the one million pound deal with publishers HarperCollins but her decision to abandon the deal means that she had to return the advance money of 500,000 thousand pounds.

Hall had spent two years writing 'Jerry Hall: Self-Portrait', which was supposed to be an "explosive" account of her life and time with Jagger.

The publishers hoped that Hall would write about Jagger's alleged "sex addiction" and how she coped with his numerous relationships during their 24-year-long relationship, Daily Mail reported.

Hall, who has four children with the Rock and Roll legend -- Lizzi, 25, James, 23, Georgia May, 17 and Gabrial, 11 -- was also expected to spill the beans on Jagger's seven-year-long affair with Carla Bruni, now wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

According to sources the publishers were disappointed with the manuscript of Hall's book as it was devoid of juicy material on Jagger.

They reportedly introduced the model to a ghostwriter and told her to to rewrite the book or they would cancel the deal, according to Hall's friends.
