Khali slapped with a legal notice

Did you know that Khali, who is cooling his heels in the Bigg Boss house, is a police officer? The Great Khali has been absent from duty for over a year and a Delhi based activist is not amused.

Did you know that the Great Khali is a police officer with Punjab Police? While it is completely legitimate for you to forget this piece of information, Khali, himself, seems to have conveniently forgotten all about his duty. Khali, as of now, is sitting and cooling his heels in the Bigg Boss house.

However, he might soon be served a legal notice for prolonged absence from service. A Delhi based activist has taken upon himself to awaken the sleeping giant.

Dalip Singh Rana aka Khali, who is an Assistant Sub Inspector with the Punjab Armed Police (PAP), has been absent from duty for over a year now.

KhaliAbhishek Kadyan, a Delhi-based activist told Mid-Day, "Khali should either do his government job or he should continue making money through wrestling and reality show. We have sent the copy of notice to the channel and Punjab police."

Buzz is that the reason for Khali's conspicuous absence is that he had gone to US on medical leave for treatment of hormonal imbalance.

Interestingly, Khali went to US to participate in WWE and earned a fortune. After that he starred in a couple of Hollywood movies and now he is a participant on Bigg Boss.

Kadyan told the tabloid, "He has been making money and misusing the leave allowed to him. He must be terminated with immediate effect. He has clearly violated section 48 of the Punjab Police Act 2007."

The Section 48 says no police officer shall engage in any other office of profit.

With PAP officials clearly bending rules for the giant wrestler, wonder what a legal notice will be worth.
