She says, “I am fond of travelling and if I get an opportunity, I’d love to write about my experiences. Whenever I get any opportunity to travel, I grab it immediately.”

Mahie also says that if acting hadn’t come her way, she would have been a CBI officer. “I am a very khufiya kind of person. I like to observe things so that I can take any further steps,” she says, adding, “Like once, I told my friend that the guy she’s dating is a jerk and I completely investigated him to prove this right.”

Even though Dev D was Mahie’s first Bollywood movie, the actress is clear about one thing — once a movie is done and released, the actors as well as all other people associated with it should move on. “I move on once I am done with the film I do. One has to move on. You can continue feeling proud but not hang on to it, whether the film is good or bad.”

The actress currently has films like Paan Singh Tomar, Dabang, Bhaang, Surmai Shaam and Gulaab Gang in her kitty.
