Jin to enter recruit training centre grounds for military enlistment without greeting BTS ARMY: In order to prevent...'

BTS: Jin will enter the grounds of the recruit training centre in a vehicle and will not greet ‘the media or fans separately', on his military enlistment day.

Ahead of BTS member Jin's military enlistment in South Korea, the group's agency BigHit Music on Monday issued a new statement. According to it, the BTS agency has asked the media to 'please refrain from visiting the site'. It also informed BTS ARMY that Jin will enter the grounds of the recruit training centre in a vehicle 'without greeting the media or fans separately'. The statement read, "Jin will be enlisting in the army as an active-duty soldier to fulfill his military duty. As we have announced before, there is no separate official event on the day of admission to the recruit training centre."

It continued, "On the day, the site is expected to be very crowded with enlisting soldiers, family members, and some fans. We ask the media to please refrain from visiting the site."

"In order to prevent safety accidents caused by on-site congestion, Jin will enter the grounds of the recruit training center while in a vehicle without greeting the media or fans separately. Due to the nature of the venue, we ask for your understanding that there is no separate waiting space for reporters. The agency will not spare its efforts and continued support until the day Jin fulfills his military service duties and returns in good health. Thank you," the statemenconcluded.

As Jin gets ready to depart for his military service, he recently shared a selfie on the fan community, Weverse, giving fans a glimpse of his new look. Jin now has a buzz cut, very short hair. He posted his photo, on Sunday evening, wearing a black T-shirt. Following that, group member Jimin made a sweet gesture. He changed his profile photo on Weverse to that of the photo shared by Jin.

As per the South Korean news agency Yonhap, the singer will be at the recruit training centre in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do for a five-week training and will be then deployed to the frontline unit of the army. The other BTS members--RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will also serve in the military. The group will reconvene in 2025 after completing their mandatory military service.
