The , who got engaged in New York earlier this year, had an Arya Samaj wedding ceremony at a farmhouse in Ghitorni here. The duo came out post wedding and posed for the shutterbugs.



Dia made for a stunning bride in a Ritu Kumar farshi ­paijama and kurta ensemble, while Sahil wore a Raghavendra Rathore off-white sherwani.

"Being a Hyderabadi, I wanted to give my wedding a local twist and that’s why I chose this outfit. I feel like a ­typical Hyderabadi bride," gushed the 32-year-old actor.

The couple opted for an Arya Samaj wedding and shared that they loved the ceremony, as they pleased the shutterbugs outside the wedding venue in Chattarpur. "I am very happy. It was a beautiful Arya Samaj ceremony. We were explained the meaning of the vows that we exchanged. It was a dream come true for me ... it was the perfect wedding," said Dia.

The lavish menu had Pakistani, Punjabi and Awadhi fare.

Actors Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, Sophie Choudry, tennis player Mahesh Bhupati and his wife, actor Lara Dutta, and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, attended the wedding.
