Strong was apparently giving Holmes the scoop on some amazing places to visit in the Big Apple.

The couple also watched Jake Gyllenhaal in off-Broadway hit production of If You Haven’t Found It Yet.

“They’re totally just friends and have been since The Romantics,” Us Weekly quoted a source as saying.

“He’s very plugged in to the New York theatre scene and is showing her the ropes,” the source said.

As part of the terms of her divorce from actor Tom Cruise, the Dawson’s Creek star got primary custody of their six-year-old daughter Suri.

Holmes is reportedly most concerned with Suri’s welfare at the moment.

“She’s not dating nor is she interested in dating yet,” the source said.

“She’s just getting her life together and focusing on her daughter,” the source added.
