DLF 5 club employee commits suicide in Gurugram
The victim had been working at a club as an air-conditioner operator for the last 18 months.
A 28-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a pole with the help of a wire at a DLF 5 club on Sunday night.

No suicide note was recovered from the spot, the police said.
According to the police, they received the piece of information around 11.10 pm, and subsequently a team rushed to the spot. The man was taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Baljit Singh, a resident of Rajpur Khurd, Chattarpur, Delhi. He was working at the club as air-conditioner operator for the last 18 months.
“Singh’s colleagues told us that they were shocked, as he didn’t seem to be depressed. His shift was till 9 pm, and, when he was not found in his room on the first floor, the other staff members started looking for him. He was later found hanging in the shaft,” said Vikas Kaushik, inspector, sector 53 police station.
Balbir Singh, elder brother of the deceased, said, “His suicide has come as a shock to us. Neither was there any issue in the family nor was there any pressure on him. What triggered him to take such an extreme step remains a matter of investigation.”
The police checked his mobile call records and found there was no last message received or sent. Instead there were 35 missed calls, mostly from the staff members who were looking for him.
The body was handed over to the family members after a post-mortem examination, which was conducted on Monday afternoon. A probe is currently underway to ascertain the reason behind his suicide, the police said.
Inspector Kaushik said that on statement of Balbir Singh, the police have started the process of investigation and have registered a case under Section 174 (police to inquire and report on suicide) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) .
“It is a clear case of hanging. We have, however, sent the viscera and the swabs to the Madhuban forensic science laboratory for examination. He died soon after having food,” said Dr Deepak Mathur, forensic expert, Civil Hospital, Gurugram.
Police teams have recorded the statements of the staff and the family members of the deceased to ensure there was no foul play involved.
