MCG razes 4 houses in New Palam Vihar

The enforcement wing of the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) on Tuesday demolished four under-construction houses on a piece of 12-acre private land at Jhajgarh village near New Palam Vihar.

The enforcement wing of the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) on Tuesday demolished four under-construction houses on a piece of 12-acre private land at Jhajgarh village near New Palam Vihar.

MCG officials said about 25 compound walls were also razed as part of the crackdown against unauthorised colonies in the Millennium City. The drive was conducted at noon in the presence of the Gurgaon police, an official said.

The registrar of revenue should make the verification process more stringent at the time of allocation of plots to curb illegal constructions, the official added.
