The maintenance and operations of the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway will now be handled by a Portuguese firm.

"Commuters can look forward to significant changes in the commuting experience in about three months' time," said Sanjay Grewal, group head of IDFC, the infrastructure finance company set to acquire majority stake in the project.
IDFC has engaged the firm Feedback Brisa, one of the largest road concessionaires in Europe, managing over 1500 km of road assets in Portugal, United States and electronic tolling collection operations in the Netherlands.
The expressway is currently being operated by the Delhi Gurgaon Super Connectivity Limited (DGSCL).
The complete takeover will take about a month.
The change of hands was brought on following a barrage of complaints from commuters after the DGSCL failed to ensure smooth functioning of the expressway.
